Here we go! My first contest! OK, first, let's have a word with Master Hand (who is borrowed to MC this):

<Master Hand> Greetings, deviants! Now, like Lava said, I will be surveying this tournament. We will accept 16 fighters, and they will all compete 1-on-1 in each round. So, let's go over the rules:

<<ENTRY>>
- First off, I myself am not competing, 'cuz let's face it--I'm giving out the prizes.
- Post in here that you wish to apply. And specify the character of yours you want to enter. It HAS to be one of your original/fan characters, not something like Link or Cloud or Dr. House.
- After doing so, you will need to make an audition deviation, so I can see how your entry character acts and fights, and how well you do in whichever medium you use. It can be in digital art, traditional art, or Flash--I guess anything except literature. Because we want to SEE the action. Also, in the description, you must include the following (and remember, balance is key):

<Entrance> (tell how the char. appears onto the arena)
<Taunts> (optional; up to three)
<Ground Speed> ?/5
<Air Speed> ?/5
<Jump> ?/5
<Weight> ?/5
<Average Power> ?/5
<Extra Midair Jumps> (however many jumps after the standard midair jump; otherwise, 0)

<Other Ability> (specify if the char. has any special abilities, like having a CPU partner as backup, boosting strength from taking damage, etc.)

<eculiar Attacks> Which normal attacks are exceptionally noteworthy; include grab if it includes a long item that can be used for tether recovery

- You may also request a place from, say, your gallery or something to be a Stage. We'll need 8-14 Stages. (Final Destination's already for Finals and Decision) If you have a plausible image of the place, then show that. Also, describe if there are any obstacles in the area.
- Also, you can request one character or the likes to be an Assist Trophy. If so, then tell what action he/she/it does when called out.
- Entries end when the auditions are narrowed down to 16. If any additional Stages or Assist Trophies, I'll try and find some in any of the auditioning deviants' galleries.

<<JUDGES>>
- If anyone wishes to assist in judging for auditions or matches, then please post so here. However, this means you won't be entering any combatants. I will accept up to three judges.
- Judges will assist me in determining which people can move on.

<<MATCHES>>
- The Deviant Smash Bros. tournament will, of course, consist of 16 fighters. In each round, they will face each other in a 1-on-1 match, with 2 stock. So, basically, there's Round 1 (with all 16), Round 2 (the 8 winners from Round 1), the Semifinals (with the 4 Round 2 winners), and the Finals (the 2 winners of the Semifinals). Also, the ones who lose in the Semifinals will get a Decision match to determine the third-place winner.
- Each competing deviant will display their matches in any medium (traditional, digital, Flash, etc.; but not literature) in a comic-style or animated match. It can span through multiple pages, just not too many. I mean, don't keep us waiting too long.
- Techniques like shielding, dodge-rolling, side-stepping, and air dodging are available here. Grabbing and throwing is also a must.
- You can choose whether or not to display damage meters. If you want to, you can, but that's your choice.
- Items will, of course, be used. Appearing at random are:
> Smash Ball: Break this floating item open to obtain power for a Final Smash.
> Assist Trophy: Claim this to summon a character to aide you in the fight.
> Food: A small, plentiful item that can restore stamina.
> Super Mushroom: Boosts the size of whoever it touches.
> Poison Mushroom: Shrinks the size of whoever it touches.
> Crate: A wooden box that contains items (or may explode). Of course, it becomes a white metal box in futuristic stages or a red present box in more "kiddy" stages.
> Barrel: A wooden barrel that contains items, but rolls about. Of course, it becomes a white metal cylinder in futuristic stages or a green round present box in more "kiddy" stages.
> Capsule: A tiny item that contains another item.
> Bob-omb: A bomb that, when left alone, will light up and walk about on its own.
> Gooey Bomb: Throw this and it will stick to surfaces or other characters. After some time, it will explode.
> Beam Sword: A weapon item that can extend its reach for stronger attacks.
> Ray Gun: A stout gun that fires straight, thick shots. Can fire up to 16 shots.
> Metal Box: Turns whoever breaks it open directly into living metal. Metal characters become heavier and stronger.
> Bunny Hood: Gives the user great agility and jumping power.
> Golden Hammer: Grab this and you'll swing it about like a berserker. Sometimes, it may be a useless, squeaky version.
- Please, no extremely gross humor. Unless we accepted it as part of your moveset. (but more or less something on Wario Waft's level)
- Me and the judges will determine which person in each match showed off the better telling of each match (art-wise and story-wise), and compromise a winner from that.

- 2nd Place: 2 deviation requests
- 3rd Place: 1 deviation request
