Now an EqD feature~!

So it's been a while since I've been in a full-blown drawing phase, and I've been looking at a lot of Derpy lately.

And that's how this picture was made!

Derpy - a sign for us to keep an eye always turned toward the guiding lights in the sky.

Firstly, I tried a new outlining trick in Flash. To start, I made the outlines with the line tool. Then, I did a layer with said lines converted to fill, then sharpened up the line ends.

Next, I made a separate layer for shading. In Fireworks, I leveled the overall alpha and changed the tint for the night hue. Oh, and I applied a Gaussian Blur.

Making the grass with just Fireworks was simpler than I thought - I just did a bit with the Fur brush and rotated it on its side! Easy as that.

Any thoughts on the picture and/or the process?
